Are you blessed by reminders of God’s love? #ThursdayThoughts

Wildflowers

“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.” ~~ Luke 12:27 (NIV)

While gazing at a scenic view, how can one not be amazed at the wonderful world God has created?

The wildflowers in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado were glorious this summer. Snowfall was plentiful during the past winter, so the vegetation received enough moisture for abundant wildflowers. My husband and I are blessed to live close enough to visit this forest often and to be able to hike in these mountains.

While we trek along the trails through meadows and forests, the bright colors of the flower blossoms catch our attention. Each bloom is a reminder of the intricate detail God included in His creations. And He designed His world to have an infinite variety.

As we are restored with the refreshing power of nature, I’m reminded of God’s love for us. If He planned the amazing majesty of all these flowers, doesn’t He have an even greater plan for us, His beloved children?

“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.” ~~ Luke 12:27 (NIV)

Just look at these perfect flowers I photographed while hiking the San Juan Mountains this summer, each one colorful and unique. Enjoy their beauty and know that you are loved by God!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for loving us, for providing for our needs, and letting us refresh in Your glorious creation. Please help us remember to release our fears and know You have the ultimate plan for our good. Like the flowers You have adorned, we trust in You to take care of us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for joining me for #ThursdayThoughts. We know proof of God’s love surrounds us…everywhere we look. Where do you find reminders of our Heavenly Father’s love?

With blessings and prayers always,

Sherida

Beautiful post, Sherida. You’re such a talented photographer. The photos are stunning. Yesterday evening, while watching the last of our little hummies flitting from feeder to feeder, I was thinking how amazing our God is to create these tiny creatures who are capable of bringing so much joy. Enjoy your day. xo

Sherida, love this post! I had never heard of Jacob’s ladder until a friend of mine posted about them over the summer. So I rushed out and got two of them. My husband mowed over them. I’m still not even sure how, as they were up against the house. Anyway, one of them came back! I was so amazed. I didn’t act devastated with my husband; he kept apologizing. But God knew, and he let one of them survive. I’m wondering if maybe next summer the other one will surprise me too.

Jill, we had a hummingbird flying around our house the other day. I had the door open and one of the dogs and I were looking outside. The hummingbird came up to the window and looked at us. I think he was saying hello! He seemed very inquisitive. I thought about you as soon as I saw him.

Sally, so fun to have you stop by! The purple Jacob’s Ladder blooms are so pretty. I hope both of yours return in the spring. Since this year’s wildflowers have been spectacular, my husband and I were interested in identifying the plants, so use an app while hiking. You’ll appreciate the snow which will soon be covering the mountains in our area. Wish I could send you some.

Doesn’t Jill post the sweetest hummie photos…with quotes, too? I also think of Jill when I see a hummingbird.

I cannot wait for the snow to appear. Yes, please send some my way lol. Pictures work as well. Thanks! I love Jill’s photos and quotes!

Definitely will send some pictures your way, Sally!

Hi Sally! I love that the hummie made you think of me. 🙂 Yes, they are very inquisitive. I remember one afternoon I was reading on the patio and a hummie came over to check out my red Kindle.

I’m so happy you enjoy my hummie quotes and photos, Sherida. <3
